THE CREW

KELSEY

Born and raised in New Jersey, Kelsey spent her childhood sailing all over the east coast of the United States. After graduating college, she moved to The Bahamas for a marketing stint. It wasn’t long before she realized she wanted to turn her love of sailing into a career, and set off to South Africa to complete her Yachtmaster. Since then, Kelsey has been cruising her way around the world. Her yachting experience ranges from fun flotilla charters in the Mediterranean to enduring transatlantic crossings. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing, sunny vacation or an exciting ocean adventure, she is excited to welcome you aboard!

CASSIE

Originally from Florida, Cassie grew up on the water. Spending the weekends at the beach, grilling out with friends and family fostered her love for entertaining. Growing up as the oldest of six, she is overqualified at managing multiple personalities and wrangling a group. She was the go-to girl for family birthday cakes and over the years has been more than happy to use her family for countless hours of recipe testing.

After college, Cassie began working in DC as an events planner, and while her love for entertaining helped her excel in this position, she still yearned for something more. Deciding to take a year off to backpack through Europe, Cassie ended up on a sailboat trip with friends in Croatia and that was it. She knew she had to find a way to stay, and when the staff on board asked if she knew how to cook, she said yes - and never looked back.

During the pandemic when the tourism industry slowed, she took that as an opportunity to advance her career by taking a year off from working on boats to attend culinary school in New York. Cassie then landed a job as a line cook at a well known southeast Asian restaurant in Chinatown while attending school, learning from some of the best chefs in the industry and fine tuning her own skills on the line, she gained priceless experience during her year on land. She now brings this professional training to yachts all over the world, from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean to French Polynesia - and now to her new found home on sailing yacht Elysian.

REVIEWS

APRIL 2024 - BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

How does one describe a 100% relaxing and enjoyable holiday? Just an incredible 8 days of gastronomy and cruising/sailing!!! The crew are just incredible folks with the professional touch!

JANUARY 2024 - BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

We had an absolutely fabulous time on the Elysian with Orlagh and Cassie! Orlagh's knowledge of the area (including the history) was phenomenal which made for a lovely itinerary. Every place we stopped for the day/night had beautiful views, wonderful water activities, fun bars, and easy access to shore. The boat was very comfortable and both Cassie and Orlagh made it even more so with the hospitality they provided. Cassie's gluten free cuisine was the best that we've ever had. My daughter Stella, who has celiac disease, commented that this was the first time since she was diagnosed that she could sit down for every meal and not have to strategize around what she could or could not eat. The food was amazing!

SEPTEMBER 2023 - GREECE

Orlagh was the most amazing skipper I've ever had! She had so much knowledge of the history of Greece that she shared with us along the route, was always ready to answer any logistical questions we had, and made the most incredible recommendations for each stop. She quickly became part of our family and we had the best time with her!

AUGUST 2023 - GREECE

Orlagh is the main reason I came back for a second yacht week. She is the perfect blend of professional and fun. She is incredibly knowledgeable regarding sailing, and has unique and personal stories about everywhere we see. She also knows how to have fun and gives the best recommendations on day activities we should participate in because she always has the best relationships with locals, and knows what fits for her guests. I could literally write about Orlagh sining her praises forever, but you get the gist.

JULY 2023 - GREECE

Orlagh was everything I was hoping for and more! She was super informative, kept us updated with activities and places to go. She sailed the boat beautifully and always offered up good vibes.
